12 Sinew Meridians

The 12 Sinew Meridians are the outermost layer of the meridians and are the areas on the skin which cover a person from head to toe. They also involve a top layer of musculature, ligaments and tendons. The Chinese Medical energetics attribute everything that involves Wei Qi (or Protective Qi) the most superficial layer of the energy on the body, to the Sinew Meridians. Wei Qi preserves us from external pathogenic factors, such as cold, heat, wind, dryness and the damp.

Disease Range: acute and semi-acute musculoskeletal disorders and complaints, pulled muscles and burns.

16 Luo Meridians

The 16 Luo Meridians are the conduits of blood and created by the body in form of varicosities, broken blood vessels, or the nodules in certain conditions used for emotional, psychological, blood and some musculoskeletal disorders.

Disease range: moodiness all the way through to schizophrenia and multiple sclerosis.

12 Primary Meridians

The 12 Primary Meridians are the 12 meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and are used to treat a wide array of disorders.

The 12 Divergent Meridians are used to address chronic musculoskeletal conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome, gynecological conditions, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases, sensory organ and skin diseases and insomnia.

8 Extraordinary Meridians

The 8 Extraordinary Meridians are used for constitutional restructuring, childhood illness and injuries, and illness which originated in childhood. The bisecting abdominal meridians are used for uro-genital problems and reproductive health.

Disease Range: food intolerances and other allergies, which originated in childhood and moderation of birth defects and psychological disorders originating from birth, birth trauma or early childhood.
